I recently bought my first electric guitar, but i'm struggling to get it to work?
I’ve never played the guitar before, but really enjoy watching and listening to really good rock music, so I decided to buy one.
I bought the guitar online from eBay and it arrived yesterday. The guitar looks just like the one in the picture, and its definitely electric.
The guitar seems a bit smaller than the ones i’ve seen on TV, but still looks the same shape as the ones i’ve seen before.
Am I right in thinking that electric guitars, because they’re electric, don’t have any strings? Mine has buttons instead, but I can’t seem to get any noise out of it.
please help!
with more reference to the buttons, they’re small and at the top of the long thin bit. they have different colours on them too. there’s also a flappy paddle bit that i’ guessing you should fiddle with to make the music, but try as i may, still no sound

Should I buy a guitar online?
I found a cool and reputable website with guitars aimed toward females…anyways the guitar I want is "discontinued" and is no longer in stores, but you can still order it for a limited time through the site. Should I buy it without being able to test it, etc? It is an electric guitar and I trust the company…and I admit, I’m buying it more for the way it looks because it has a very unique shape and color…I just have no idea how it will sound, play. I am new to electric guitar…what do you think? Should I order it without being able to try it first?

How do resonators amplify instruments?
I am building a wooden guitar with fishing line strings. I made a hole in the wood and am trying on different resonators. I want to find out what kind of shape and depth the resonator has to be to ampilify the sound to the maximum. Whenever I put on a resonator(a metal box or a plastic container) the sound gets quieter. I glued on a plastic container, but it is still quiet. What should I do?
