What is the difference between playing acoustic guitar and 6 string bass?
I am an acoustic guitar player, but I have been looking at playing 6 string bass. I know the difference between the guitars, I want to know the difference between the playing style.

Buying my first electric guitar @ Guitar Center?
i have a couple of questions for anybody with experience of buying guitars from them. BTW, i DO have experience playing guitar cause i have an acoustic.
1-If i ask them to sell me a guitar from there stock in like the back room or w/e instead of the ones on display, will they give it to me?
2-Im looking at an all access pack for an Epiphone G400. If they dont have it at the store, could they put the pack together and sell me all of the items for the same price as the pack online?
3-Would it be a smart idea to save up some $ for a case so when i walk out of the store i can be carrying it in a case instead of out in the open?
4-Lets just say that i got the Ep g400 that was on display. If i bought new strings at the same time while buying the guitar, could they string it up for me and teach me how to do it at the same time? and how much would it cost?
5-and last but not least, would it be better to buy my guitar online or at the store?

Online Electric Guitar Lessons and Buying a Electric Guitar!?
I’m thinking of taking up the electric guitar but I want to do a lot of research before I bring it up with my mom.
Does anyone know of any good online Electric guitar courses I can take? I don’t ,ind paying as long as it reasonable. Also the site has to be able to teach the basics like reading music cause I don’t know how.
Now I know buying guitars online is cheaper and if I did buy online I’d buy from www.guitarcenter.com and would get one of the value packs. Is this wise?
If not there is a musical instruments store I can go to and I know it’d be better but it’d also be more expensive.
If you can’t answer everything that’s fine.

Which guitar? Electric/Acoustic/Bass?
At the moment I learn the Cello and Double Bass, and teach myself Violin and Piano (I had learnt it for a while but didn’t like the teacher but enjoyed the instrument), so I have a fair understanding of music, and am fairly able to pick up new instruments. I know these instruments won’t help at all in terms of guitar playing but I am wondering which guitar I should start on.
I know Acoustic is recommended usually for beginners, but that is because it strengthens fingers and w/e else. But I have fairly strong fingers from playing Double Bass and so would that change it? And I also know that the strings are the same on the Double Bass as the Bass Guitar, so would that be better to pick up first?
I am confused as I like all guitars and the styles played on them.
I think in the end I would take up all three…but basically…Which would be best to start on? Cos i’m paying for them so I want to make sure I start on the right one.

I was looking at some Electro-Acoustics – how do they sound? Do they switch easily from Acoustic-sounding to Electric-sounding 
I quite liked the idea of one because it meant I wouldn’t have to buy each instrument but that is only if they are worthwhile and sound like the original instruments.

When you buy an electric guitar from GC or Musicians Friend, do they set up the guitar for you?
I went to GC yesterday and noticed that some of the guitars had be detuned, the action was too low (or bowed neck), etc. Do they set up the guitar for you when purchase it? Or do the just say here you go and hope you know what to do?
Is it different ordering online as to going to the store and buying? (Guitar Center)
And if the neck is bowed, is that something that could be fixed with adjustments? Or is that permanent?

Should I buy a guitar online?
I found a cool and reputable website with guitars aimed toward females…anyways the guitar I want is "discontinued" and is no longer in stores, but you can still order it for a limited time through the site. Should I buy it without being able to test it, etc? It is an electric guitar and I trust the company…and I admit, I’m buying it more for the way it looks because it has a very unique shape and color…I just have no idea how it will sound, play. I am new to electric guitar…what do you think? Should I order it without being able to try it first?

How do you put a guitar strap on a guitar, if there is no pin/stud at the bottom/base of the actual guitar?

how to tie a guitar strap on an accoustic guitar?
My accoustic guitar only has one screw on the back where all guitars have a screw but is missing one by the neck. My friend at school said that you tie it around by the neck somehow but wasn’t sure exactly how to do it. How do you tie it around or where can i get a screw for the front.
