Hi,

I just recently purchased an Epiphone Les Paul Classic and i love it to death. Before that, I just used a Fender Squier Beginner Guitar; compared to the Les Paul, it sounds kinda bad. Is there really that much of a difference between the Epiphone and Gibson Les Paul? Cause I might want to save for a Gibson if its worth it.

I am looking into purchasing the following…Either a:

Epiphone or Gibson SG,
Epiphone Ace Frehley Signature Les Paul,
Fender P Bass,
or Fender Jazz Bass.

As you can see from that list, i am also a bass player. Can someone reccommend which one I should invest in? Right now i have about 0 (and still saving) to get a guitar/bass and I want to get the right one so my money isn’t wasted.

Sometimes I’ll play an American strat and it does not have the quality of another strat of the same price. They seem very inconsistent. Whereas I never seem to play a bad Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul. Why is that? Do Gibsons and Epiphones have more quality than Fenders?

I was looking at guitars online and I started to come across ‘gibson les paul’ and ‘epiphone les paul’ and ‘gibson explorer and flying v’ and ‘epiphone explorer and flying v’ I noticed a significant difference in the price, gibson being more expensive.
