How well does learning acoustic guitar translate to playing an electric bass guitar?
I want to learn how to play an electric bass guitar but right now all that is possible for me is to learn an acoustic guitar. How much would learning to play an acoustic guitar help me learn to play an electric bass guitar in the future.

Learning bass on acoustic 6-string guitar?
I know, I know, I know, I should get a bass to learn bass, guitars and basses are completely different instruments and I just really need to get a bass to really get a feel for it and learn it, but my parents aren’t willing to lay down 0 for something that we don’t know if I will like or have any skill at yet.
I do have a 6-string acoustic guitar, so is there anything I can do on that that will help me until I can get a bass? My birthday is in a month, so I’m hoping to ask for one then, but what could I do in the mean time on my guitar that would help me? Should I just learn the basic chord structures and such?
Also, when I do get a bass, what are some good quality but not-overly-expensive ones?

I am now currently playing the acoustic guitar. However, i think that the acoustic guitar is a little soft in sound. I would also like to play some nice pop music. Simply saying, can I replace the three steel bass strings (E, A, D) of my classical guitar with the three bass strings of my acoustic guitar ? Is there a difference in gauges ?

How do you put a guitar strap on a guitar, if there is no pin/stud at the bottom/base of the actual guitar?

A dreadnought cutaway fender, I dont know what order that goes in but you know! Ive searched the internet, and there is no pin in this particular guitar, and I dunno how to fit the strap! please help!
