Should I hurry up and buy one of the last Gibson Guitars bulit in America?
The administration is stopping Gibson from buying rosewood fingerboards from India not because it violates American law, but they feel they should be completely finished in India according to Indian law.
You can not finish the finger board until after it is glued on the neck of the guitar, so I guess the administration will only be satisfied when the entire neck is made in India
Gibson makes all but the top models somewhere else. i guess they will have to make them all in other countries.

No, vote Conservative next year and get rid of an administration that doesn’t like companies who contribute to Republican Candidates.
The real reason is that Gibson is the only NON UNIONIZED guitar maker. All the bs theyre spewing about wood is subterfuge.
It’s not stopping Gibson from buying wood, it is stopping the illegally bought wood from coming into the country! Wood has to be aged before being used, and I don’t mean WHEN it’s cut down! It takes years to age, but these guys don’t want to wait that long and sell it on the Black Market. You can go ahead and buy one of Gibson’s guitars, but you won’t know if it’s made from legitimate wood, and you may be paying too much for it.
The only answer to this question is to get the morons responsible for the total turmoil they have created in this country out of office as soon as possible. This has nothing to do with illegally imported wood which did not happen. This is about a non union organization not supporting Obama and Obamas thugs. This incident is not going to just go away. Hopefully when Obama is removed indictments will follow. I don’t look forward to that unless the gutless Republicans in Washington are also removed.
Gibson isn’t going anywhere.
